JEL Insurance Claims Adjuster Training Boot Camp

The insurance claims adjuster training boot camp is intense learning at it's best.

Although this not a licensing class - we do an extensive review of policy coverages and go through real world examples of insurance coverage, perils and exclusions.

The class covers the entire insurance claims process, from the adjuster point of view, including:

* receiving the insurance claim assignment

* setting the claim inspection appointment

* working with adjuster field managers and insurance team

* doing the Insurance claim property investigation or 'scoping'

* completing the field drawing, property sketch and measuring

* inspecting the roof and roof pitch calculations

* entering the entire insurance loss claim into Xactimate

* submitting the insurance loss claim and handling supplemental claims.

This is not just an Xactimate class, but our students do walk out proficient in using Xactimate including Xactimate Sketch, Macros and Roofs.

** We take the students from setting up Xactimate preferences all the way through submitting the assignment.

This 5 day class is hands on - experiential learning!

When a student leaves on Friday they can take field adjuster assignments - from the beginning - and effectively and efficiently use Xactimate and the latest Xactimate sketch tools to complete the assignment.

Jel Adjuster Boot Camp is Real Hands On Experience

Students are not rushed when learning and instructors ensure that students comprehend what is being taught.

Students don't just sit in the class room learning theory from Power Point Presentations, we go to touch and feel construction elements and discuss how to handle the damage.

We go to an actual house to measure and document damages from the roof on down through each room and we work on multiple "claims" and discuss catastrophic scenarios from Hail, Hurricane, Tornadoes and Floods - so we really know how to do the job!

JEL always has at least 2 instructors per class, but with classes of over 12 students, 3 instructors will be present.

This student to instructor ratio of 6-1 ensures plenty of 1-on-1 interaction, especially when learning the Xactimate software.

Adjuster Boot Camp Teaching Philosophy

The Adjuster Boot Camp starts on day one with a holistic approach that weaves all the elements together cohesively so that knowledge builds from day to day.

JEL understands that our students vary with some people coming into this industry having been out of the classroom for a long time and often have no real computer experience.

That's OK!.

We have designed our training to promote maximum learning. Adjuster Boot Camp classes are kept small, usually no more than 15, although on occasion up to 20 students will be admitted.

*** 'Similar' (there really is nothing comparable but anyhow...) classes given by other schools typically have only one instructor with 25 to 40 people - a much larger and less personal atmosphere.
